Yashasvi Jaiswal has Impressed in the TATA IPL 2023:
Yashasvi Jaiswal looks like he has his eye set on being the left-handed opener for the Indian national team. The national team doesn’t have a left-hander in the top 6 and this is a point of concern. Yashasvi and his impressive innings this season have raised the spirits very high. The Rajasthan Royals invested in this youngster for 2 long seasons and their belief is paying off really well. In the 8 innings that he has played, he has scored 304 runs at an average of 38. He has been scoring at a strike rate of 145.7. His performances have at times overshadowed Jos Butler’s batting.
Shivam Dube has Impressed in the TATA IPL 2023:
This mighty left-hander has started to give Yuvraj Singh vibes. He has been scoring the big runs and he is making them at a good rate. The Chennai Super Kings are making complete use of his abilities as a batter. He has been sent out at number 4 or number 5 at max. Below that he is a liability to the team. MS Dhoni has backed the Mumbai batter and this call has paid off. The Indian cricket team has always looked for a number 4 batter. In the absence of Rishabh Pant, a left-hander is a must in the middle order. Dube can play that role if required.

Jitesh Sharma has Been Great in TATA IPL 2023 for the Punjab Kings:
Jitesh Sharma has been the most impressive domestic player in my opinion. The youngster has been in the IPL since 2015 and has seen it all. But he is in the form of his life in TATA IPL 2023. The Punjab Kings tend to send him at number 7 or number 6 but that is keeping him with very few deliveries to play. They can make more effective use of him at number 5. Instead of using Jitesh as a finisher, they can give that role to Shahrukh and use Jitesh as a middle-order batter or floater. He has played a few innings where his strike rate was above 250. His innings have been short but impactful.
Piyush Chawla has Made a Comeback:
Piyush Chawla is back. He has been working hard on his fitness and has been working on his skill too. He is one of the most experienced bowlers around. The Mumbai Indians picked Piyush in the TATA IPL Auction 2023. He has been effectively used as an “Impact Player”. Piyush knows his game very well and sticks to his strength. His best performance this season was against the Delhi Capitals. He picked 3/22 in that very game and won the game for them. Chawla has picked 11 wickets at an economy of 7.1. He has filled the void of an experienced spinner that Mumbai had after Rahul Chahar was drafted to the Punjab Kings.
Sai Sudarshan Has Impressed while Batting for Gujarat Titans:
The second “Impact Player” in the history of the TATA IPL was Sai Sudarshan. He was bought in place of Kane Williamson in the very first game of the TATA IPL 2023 season. Sai has impressed the cricket fans and has played to his fullest potential. Sudarshan and his skills were also on display last season, but they are visible in full bloom this time. He knows his role is to be the glue that binds the batting order of Gujarat. He has a very good understanding of the game. His strike rate hovers around 130 to 135.
