The TATA IPL 2023 is closing in by the minute, and all the franchises are looking to put together all the missing pieces. The TATA IPL 2023 is going to be the longest season in the history of the tournament as the tournament is expected to be played over a period of 2.5 months.
All-rounders are an essential commodity for any team. They are the ones who bring much-needed balance to a team. Over the years, we have seen teams with good all-rounders succeed. The Mumbai Indians of 2020 are one great example. Here is a look at all the best all-rounders from each team in TATA IPL 2023:
TATA IPL 2023 Best All-Rounder From Each Team:
Team Name | Best All-Rounder |
Mumbai Indians | Tim David/Cameron Green |
Chennai Super Kings | Ravindra Jadeja/ Ben Stokes |
Royal Challengers Bangalore | Glenn Maxwell |
Delhi Capitals | Mitchell Marsh |
Rajasthan Royals | Jason Holder |
Punjab Kings | Sam Curran |
Gujarat Titans | Hardik Pandya |
Lucknow Super Giants | Marcus Stoinis/Deepak Hooda |
Kolkata Knight Riders | Andre Russell/Venkatesh Iyer |
Sunrisers Hyderabad | Washington Sundar/Glenn Phillips |
TATA IPL 2023 Sunrisers Hyderabad do not Have a Big All-Rounder:
The Sunrisers Hyderabad is one team that has evidently missed out on the big all-rounders. Their core players, or pure batters and pure bowlers are very well-versed in their skills but their all-rounder can be a point of concern. Washington Sundar is very fragile. He is prone to injury. But in his absence, the Sunrisers seem to have no backup. They will have to get a few overs each from Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, and Glenn Phillips. This is more of a make-shift plan to fill the voids in the absence of Sundar.
Mumbai Indians to face a Problem of Plenty:
On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians may face a problem of plenty. They have Tim David, Cameron Green, Tristan Stubbs, and Dewald Brevis. Of this list, only two players can play as Jofra is expected to play too. With that being said, Cameron Green has scored the runs as an opener. So, who will he come in place of? Will he be used as an opener or a finisher? Many questions are left to be answered. The best way to deal with this for the Mumbai Indians would be to ask, Ishan and Rohit to open with Surya at 3. David at 6, Green at 7. Tilak Varma can take the 4th spot and Stubbs at 5.
Chennai Super Kings Have a Problem of Plenty as Well:
The Chennai Super Kings will also face a problem of plenty in the TATA IPL 2023. They have 3 of the best all-rounders in the form of Ben Stokes, Jadeja, and Moeen Ali. So, which player will bat where is a point of concern? The best would be to bat Ali at number 3, Stokes at 4 or 5, and use Jadeja as the finisher.
