David Warner led the Delhi Capitals in the absence of Rishabh Pant, who was ruled out of IPL 2023 due to injury. Warner has scored 516 runs in 14 matches and was the only Batter from DC who scored 500+ runs in IPL 2023.
From the Bowling Department, Not a Single Bowler from DC has taken more than 12 wickets. Mitchell Marsh, who is a rounder, was the leading wickets taker of Delhi as he took 12 wickets, whereas Axar Patel took 12 wickets.
DC should take some tough Calls:
Middle order: Delhi Capitals struggled with their middle order as there was no reliable option except Axar Patel, who could build a crucial partnership in crucial moments and finish the game.
In the end of IPL 2023, Delhi got Phil Salt as a good finisher, who has played nine matches and scored 218 runs with an average of 27.25. But, Still, Delhi needs some good Indian Batters who can play good cricket in the middle overs.
Bowling: Delhi capitals Bowlers gave a decent Performance in the IPL 2023. Anrich Nortje had a bad season; he leaked lots of runs and failed to get early wickets. Ishant Sharma has performed well this season, but they need some good bowlers, especially Seamers.
IPL 2024 DC Captain and Vice Captain (Expected)
Most Possibly, Rishabh Pant will lead the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, whereas David Warner might be a Vice Captain. In IPL 2023, Rishabh Pant was not Playing due to Injury, and In Place of him, David Warner was Captain of DC.
