IPL 2024: The new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to start in a few days but lots of players are getting ruled out of the tournament due to injuries or workload management. Mumbai Indians, who are one of the most successful franchise of the IPL and their camp looks injury-free for the upcoming season.
But, as per the recent development, Sri Lankan star Pacer Dilshan Madushanka is ruled out of the third ODI against Bangladesh and is also set to miss the starting few games of IPL 2024 due to a hamstring injury. Mumbai Indians bought Dilshan Madushanka at the high price of 4.60 crore in the IPL 2024 auction but now, he isn’t available for the first few games.
Currently, Sri Lanka is playing a three-match ODI series with Bangladesh and as of now, the series is tied by 1-1 after Sri Lanka won the second ODI match by 3 wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Sri Lankans have played good cricket so far and they are expected to win this ODI series by 2-1.
The Addition of Dilshan Madushanka to the squad was a great move by Mumbai Indians as he provides variety and depth in the bowling department of MI in the IPL 2024. However, Mumbai Indians still have good players in their team like Jasprit Bumrah, Gerald Coetzee, Akash Madhwal and Jason Nehrendroff.
Gerald Coetzee is doubtful for the first few Games in the IPL 2024:
As per the media sources, Gerald Coetzee is set to miss the first few games in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 for Mumbai Indians however, there is no official confirmation of this. South African Pacer Gerald Coetzee has played exceptional cricket in recent times especially in the ODI cricket as he took 31 wickets in 14 matches with an economy rate of 6.48.
If we compare Mumbai Indian’s bowling attack with any other team in the IPL 2024 then it looks robust, the killing pair of Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee whereas Indian youngster Akash Madhwal performed fantastically in the last edition and Sri Lanka Pacers Nuwan Thushara and Dilshan Madushanka will add lot more values to the team.
MI’s Star Batter Suryakumar Yadav likely to miss starting few matches-reports:
In the recent development, Another big news coming from the Mumbai Indians camp which is not good for them as star batter Suryakumar Yadav is likely to miss the starting few matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
However, there is no official confirmation been made by Mumbai Indians so, we can hope for the best and we see him playing the first game for Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Titans on March 24, 2024, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
