IND vs AUS: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen facing the media today at the MCG as he spoke on several issues the Indian team faced during their BGT campaign before they advanced for the Boxing Day test.

While addressing the media, when the media questioned him over the form of Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and his own, he made some serious claims.

Rohit Sharma, on being asked about Virat’s form and his dismissals outside off stump, clearly stated that “Modern-day greats like Virat Kohli will figure out their own path.”

Virat Kohli has been the most inspirational athlete in the world, as his classics have drawn many younger talents to the game of cricket. 15 years back in 2009, on this very day, he scored his maiden international hundred, and the legend stands tall in his illustrious career with 81 hundreds, most after the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Undoubtedly respected as well as admired by several cricketers from different nations, Virat Kohli is surely not only a modern-day but an all-time great to have ever played the sport.

Rohit Sharma clearly showed his faith and belief in the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, as the young batter on his first visit to the most hostile tracks of world cricket has shown what he is capable of at Perth. Though Jaiswal missed on runs over the last few innings, he is expected to come back stronger.

Rohit Sharma also opened up about the reason behind the immediate inclusion of Tanush Kotian, as he backs the youngster to have previously played in Australia and the other options like Kuldeep and Axar being unavailable owing to fitness or family issues.

Rohit Sharma said, “Tanush Kotian played here in Australia. Kuldeep I don’t think he has a visa & He is not 100% fit. Axar has a baby recently. Tanush is ready, we really want a back up in case we need two spinners here or Sydney. Tanush has shown what he’s capable of”.

While Pant has also backed Rishabh Pant’s intent and also Shubman Gill, whom he claimed to have had starts in Adelaide but failed to capitalise as he could not convert it to big runs.
