IND vs AUS: The cricketing world has been a bit too harsh over the Indian setup after their series loss against New Zealand at home. The Indian batters, despite their obvious heroism over so many years, even after winning the T20 World Cup, have now been termed out of form.

First, the Indian batters struggled on the pace-friendly track of the Chinnaswamy, which found the Men in Blue struggle as they were bowled out for a minor 46-all-out. The Indian batters looked helpless on the turning pitches of Mumbai and Pune as well.

After India faced a humiliating defeat against New Zealand at home, they have now pinned their hopes on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with a series hope of a 4-0 victory. Ahead of the BGT and foreseeing the chances for the legendary win over the Aussies.

David Warner, the former Aussie international opening batsman, while in the commentary box during Pakistan vs Australia ODI match, stated that seeing the current situation of Indian batters, he would himself be nervous if he was placed into the Indian set-up.

“And it helps the Australian guys. They’re coming out here after being beaten at home three-nil for five Tests against the Australian boys, (who have) three world-class quicks and a world-class spin bowler, and I’d be nervous if I’m in that batting order. I would be nervous,” Warner told Fox Sports.

Warner was all praise for the Blackcaps, as he said they were the first touring team to do it against the odds in the subcontinent. Also, some magical performances from the players enlisted them in an exquisite record, as Santner and Ajaz were among the pick of the bowlers.

Warner lauded the fielding efforts made by New Zealand, as it was mostly the outstanding grabs that incited India to their first-ever Test series loss after a span of 12 years. Now India will have to secure a win in all four games out of the remaining five matches left for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
