The year 2022 has come to an end. This year did not witness much Test cricket. But there were a few good games here and there. The year began with the few games of the Ashes that were held in Australia. There were many impressive performances. India played against England in a one-off test match too. Further, India played against Bangladesh. The West Indies had a few games here and there. England played a lot of test cricket. So, if we are to make the best test team of the year 2022, who will be in it? Here is a look:

The openers have very limited competition and there are very few to choose from. Rohit had a good season last time around but played limited to negligible test games in 2022. The same is the case with Rahul. Warner scored a 200 but apart from that, he had a decent year. Usman Khwaja was a top contender but I have chosen Abdullah Shafique over him. Kraigg Braithwaite is in a league of his own. He is averaging 60 across all nations.
Scott Boland/James Anderson can be the pacers:
Scott Boland was a surprise entry into the options for pacers. He was always a part of the Australian team replacing one of their top 3 pacers. He would either come in for Cummins or for Hazlewood or for Starc. But his performance has been really impressive. On the other hand, Jimmy is aging like fine wine. He just gets better with the number of games he plays. His skills need no explanation.
Rishabh Pant will be a Part of the Best Test Cricket Team of 2022:
Rishabh Pant will also be a part of the best test team of 2022. There isn’t any other better wicket-keeper batter. You have Rizwan but his performance in tests is mediocre. We have Alex Carry as well but he isn’t an impact player. So Rishabh will be an integral part of the team.
