Rishabh Pant Fit for IPL 2024 As BCCI Provides Medical Updates on Rishabh Pant, Mohd. Shami and Prasidh Krishna: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gives some major updates regarding the fitness and medical of players like Rishabh Pant, Mohd. Shami and Prasidh Krishan. BCCI officially declared Rishabh Pant fit for wicket-keeping in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
However, Mohd. Shami and Prasidh Krishna aren’t fit for the IPL 2024 therefore they are set to miss the whole tournament. As per the media reports, Mohd. Shami is expected to miss the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 due to the injury however, BCCI has yet to make an official confirmation.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is set to start on March 22, 2024, but there will be only 21 matches in the phase of IPL 2024 due to the Lok Sabha Election in India. The First Match of IPL 2024 will be played between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Rishabh Pant Returns to Delhi Capitals:
Rishabh Pant will be playing Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Capitals after a long time due to a major-car accident in December 2022. Pant underwent a long 14 months of rehab and now, he is officially declared fit for the IPL 2024 by BCCI. Rishabh Pant was in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for the last couple of weeks and now, he received the green light for the IPL 2024.
Shami Set to Miss IPL 2024 and Doubtful for the T20 World Cup 2024:
After having an excellent performance in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, Mohd. Shami hasn’t played a single bilateral series for the Indian Team. Now, BCCI has declared him unfit for the IPL 2024 and he is also doubtful for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
In February 2023, Shami went through right heel surgery in the UK and now, he is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Prasidh Krishna Sidelined for the IPL 2024:
Prasidh Krishna was declared unfit by BCCI due to the left quadriceps tendon, he has gone through many injuries in the past few years. Prasidh Krishan will not be playing in the IPL 2024 however he is an integral part of Rajasthan Royals but he wasn’t available for the whole tournament due to injuries. By the way, Prasidh Krishna didn’t play IPL 2023 due to injury but before that season, he took 19 wickets in 17 games.
