He said, “Prithvi Shaw is going to have the biggest TATA IPL 2023.” Prithvi has been in the news for very unfortunate reasons of late. In a pre-season press conference of the TATA IPL 2023, Ricky Ponting, the former Australian Captain and the head coach of the Delhi Capitals emphasized the improved work ethic of Prithvi Shaw. “He’s worked harder and trained better than I have ever seen Prithvi do leading into an IPL. He is in better shape than I have ever seen him before. I spoke to him the other day during training about his attitude and how things have been going, both on and off the field, and I feel this is going to be his biggest season in the IPL”, is what Ponting said.
Prithvi Shaw has Improved His Fitness Says Ricky Ponting:
Rickey also elaborated on the fact that Prithvi seemed a changed player from last season. He claimed that Shaw has been looking very fit and has been putting in extra hours of effort on the field. Ponting feels that Prithvi’s attitude toward the game has changed positively.
“This season, something seems to have clicked with Prithvi Shaw. He’s in a better space than he’s ever been before and he’s done extra work in every session ever since we got together, whether in batting or field, so that’s a great sign. He’s just had that different look in his eyes, he is hungrier than ever. I am sure we are going to see the real Prithvi this year.”, is what Ricky said.
Shaw will get to open the batting alongside his team captain David Warner. They are a left-hand and right-hand combination and will cause trouble to the bowlers. This combination forces the bowlers to adjust their angles at each delivery. Both the batters are explosive and like it when the ball comes off the pitch. They will love the Delhi pitch.
Shaw Was Involved in a Controversy Last Month:
Sapna Gill, an Instagram model, was involved with Prithvi Shaw and his friends in a controversy. The back story, as reported by the media outlets suggests that Sapna and her friends had attacked Prithvi Shaw’s vehicle post-Prithvi Shaw denied her an autograph. This incident had held Prithvi Shaw’s career and life at stake as the car was damaged brutally.
