277-3 runs in 20 overs with the help of 80 runs in 34 balls. Five-time winners Mumbai got off to a great start chasing the biggest target in IPL history in Hyderabad. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma added 56 runs for the first wicket.

When Kishan was dismissed by Shahbaz Ahmed, captain Pat Cummins dismissed Rohit in the fourth over. Tilak Verma led MI’s comeback by playing a brilliant inning of 64 runs off just 34 balls.

However, Tilak’s entertaining innings went in vain as MI lost the match by 31 runs after scoring only 246-5 in 20 overs.
In the opening bowling attack against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Under-19 World Cup hero, Kwena Mafaka was selected over elite fast bowler Bumrah and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya.

The five-time champions were favored. The SRH star welcomed the 17-year-old by scoring 22 runs in his opening over.

Captain Pandya, who came in place of the young bowler in the fourth over, atoned for his crime by dismissing Mayank Agarwal for 11 runs in 13 balls. Captain Hardik revealed that after winning the toss, Mumbai made just one change in its playing eleven in the match against SRH.
