IPL 2024: Strongest Playing 11 of Chennai Super Kings after the conclusion of 2024 IPL auction: The 2024 IPL Auction ended yesterday as 72 players were bought by the IPL Franchises and a whopping 230.45 crore rupees were spent by all the teams in the auction. Chennai Super Kings had a pretty good auction as they covered all their requirements.
The reigning champions bought six players at the 2024 IPL Auction, with the Kiwi duo of Daryl Mitchell (14 crore rupees) and Rachin Ravindra (1.8 crore rupees) and Indian All-Rounder Shardul Thakur (4 crore rupees) being the most significant additions to the roster of CSK.
The CSK management didn’t shy away from spending a huge amount of money on Youngsters as they bought Sameer Rizvi- the right handed-Suresh Raina for a massive amount of 8.40 crore rupees. The 20-year old is known for his exploits in the UP T20 as he managed to score the fastest century in the inaugural edition of the UPT20.
Shardul Thakur’s addition gives much-needed stability and experience to the Yellow Army’s inexperienced pace bowling unit. The bowling attack of CSK is one of the best ahead of the IPL 2024, thanks to the presence of the trio of Mukesh Choudhary, Deepak Chahar, and Shardul Thakur, as well as death specialists Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande.
The Yellow Army also added Mustafizur Rahman to their roster ahead of IPL 2024 and he would be a good backup for Pathirana. CSK completed the auction formalities by buying young wicket-keeper Avanish Rao Aravelly and he is expected to act as a backup to skipper MS Dhoni.
CSK appears to have covered all bases with an abundance of all-rounders at their disposal, and has an unreal depth in their batting order, with Deepak Chahar potentially coming in to bat as late as No. 10.
