IPL 2023 edition 16 Start Date: Indian Premier League and World Test Championship Final, the biggest events of the cricket tournament are the biggest events in 2023 which are being awaited by the cricket fans across the world. Now the wait seems to be over as the kick-off dates of both the major events have come to the fore.

The wait for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega event seems to be over. The IPL 2023 season 16th will be start from 31st March 2023 and ends on May last week 2023. Ahmedabad is the most likely venue for the IPL edition 16 to begin, as the Gujarat Titans are the defending IPL champions after winning the IPL trophy in 2022.

IPL 2023 Auction Date and Auctioneer

IPL 2023 Auction Update: As we knew, the mini-auction for IPL 2023 is scheduled to take place on December 23 in Kochi. Season 16 will be auctioned off under the hammer of Hugh Edmeades, Best Auctioneer. The IPL auction has been hosted by Hugh Edmeads since he replaced host Richard Madley in 2018. In the mega auction for IPL season 15, which is being held in Bangalore in February 2022, he collapsed due to postural hypotension on the first day of the event.

The auction had to be postponed following the unfortunate incident involving Hugh Edmeades. Meanwhile, the officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Charu Sharma replaced Hugh Edmeades as the caretaker announcer and completed the auction. He was being looked after by the Halani medical team. When he came back after recovering before the end of the mega auction, he was welcomed back with applause by all the franchise members and BCCI officials. The final phase of the auction was led by Edmides himself.
