The Addition of Cameron Green in their squad will strengthen their middle order and give them a good medium-pace bowling option.
Cameron Green has played two seasons for Mumbai Indians as MI bought him in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for 17.5 crore. This was a good deal for Mumbai Indians as Cameron Green performed well in both seasons for his franchise, but purse problems led MI to release him.
Hardik Pandya returns to the Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans. Still, MI had a lower purse value to get Hardik on the team, and this is the reason why Mumbai Indians released a robust player like Cameron Green. Hardik Pandya had a price of 15.00 crore, whereas Cameron Green had 17.50 crore. Hence, there was no purse problem after the release.
The RCB’s direct director, Mo Bobat, revealed the reason behind Cameron Green’s addition to the squad ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. According to Bobat, Cameron Green will add much more value to the team, especially with players like Glenn Maxwell. The Aggressive batting and medium-pace bowling will strengthen their bench strength.

The Director of cricket of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mo Bobat, said, “Cameron Green is perfect to fit for our team in the middle-order; he is very skilful and a young, talented player. He has the ability to finish the game, and his experience of playing international cricket will give them an upper hand.”
Adding more on Green’s Bowling, Bobat said, “Cameron Green is also a fantastic bowler, and his medium-pace bowling will be very beneficial for the team on grounds like Chinnaswamy. He is also an exceptional fielder; some of his catches in gully and on boundary line were superb.”
Overall, This deal between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore is beneficial for both the teams, but MI might have a slight advantage over RCB as they have added an Indian All-Rounders, which allows them to add more foreign players as bowlers in their team.
