IPL 2024 Points Table Updated on May 19, SRH’s Dominating Victory against PBKS | Indian Premier League 2024 Standings After SRH vs PBKS: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) played another dominating cricket against Punjab Kings at their home ground (Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium) in the match no.69 of TATA IPL 2024. SRH won the match against PBKS by 4 wickets in just overs with this, they moved to the second position in the latest IPL 2024 Points Table with 17 points. However, Punjab Kings ended their tournament in ninth position in the IPL 2024 Points Table with 10 points.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ended their last league stage match with an excellent victory and this will boost their confidence in the upcoming IPL 2024 Playoffs. As of now, SRH have played a total of 14 matches in this tournament and from which, they won eight matches and one match was washed out by the rain. Sunrisers Hyderabad are most likely to play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator if Rajasthan Royals win their last match against KKR.

After winning the toss in their last match, Punjab Kings batted first and their openers gave a wonderful start to the team which they missed throughout the season. The New opening pair of Atharva Taide and Prabhsimran Singh made a good partnership of 97 runs for the first wicket with a decent strike rate. Prabhsimran Singh played an excellent innings of 71 runs in 45 balls whereas Atharva Taide made 46(27). Later on, Rilee Rossouw started the firework and played a stormy inning of 49 runs in 24 balls in the middle overs.

In the death overs, youngster Jitesh Sharma played an impactful inning of 32 runs in just 15 balls and led Punjab Kings to the massive 214 runs in 20 overs. From Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling unit, T. Natarajan took two wickets whereas Pat Cummins and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth got one wicket each. 

In the second inning, Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head got bowled out on the very first ball of the inning however he is the most explosive batter of SRH in the TATA IPL 2024. Later on, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi took charge of hitting and they made a decent 72-run partnership for the second wicket. Abhishek Sharma scored 66 runs in just 28 balls including six sixes whereas Rahul Tripathi was able to make 33(18). 

After they got out, Nitish Kumar Reddy started hitting boundaries but got out by scoring 37 runs. In the end, Heinrich Klaasen finishes the match by scoring 42 runs in 26 balls. From Punjab Kings bowling unit, Harshal Patel, who is also the purple cap holder of the season took two wickets whereas Arshdeep Singh also took two wickets in this match.
