IPL 2024 Points Table Latest After RR vs PBKS [May 15], A Poor Performance by Rajasthan Royals Ahead of IPL 2024 Playoffs | Indian Premier League 2024 Standings: Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 5 wickets in the match no.65 of TATA IPL 2024 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Rajasthan Royals (RR) has already qualified for the Latest IPL 2024 Playoffs and with this, RR is present at second position in the latest IPL 2024 Points Table with 16 points. RR have played a total of 13 matches so far in this tournament and out of which, they won eight matches and have NRR of +0.273.

Despite winning the game, Punjab Kings (PBKS) is now eliminated for the IPL 2024 Playoffs as they have played poor cricket throughout the tournament. Punjab Kings has occupied 9thth position in the IPL 2024 Points Table with 10 points as they have won only four games in the edition of TATA IPL 2024 in 13 matches played so far.

After winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals (RR) batted first but their openers failed to give a good start to the team as Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 4 runs whereas Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored 28 runs. RR has been struggling with their top order in the past few matches which they should fix before the TATA IPL 2024 Playoffs, which will be played in a couple of days. Later on, Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin played a responsible inning of 48 and 28 runs and led RR to make a comeback in the game.

But, after both the players got out, the middle-order batters easily gave their wickets against Punjab Kings bowlers. In the end, Rajasthan Royals were able to score 144 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs. From the PBKS bowling unit, Harshal Patel, Sam Curran and Rahul Chahar took two wickets each whereas Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis got one wicket each.

In the second inning, Punjab Kings (PBKS) too had a poor start as the pitch was slow and the bowlers were dominating batters in this match. The Top-order of PBKS failed to score runs, Rilee Rossouw and Jonny Bairstow made 22(13) and 14(22), respectively. Skipper Sam Curran made a crucial partnership of 63 runs with Jitesh Sharma. 

This partnership led the Punjab Kings back into the game and set an excellent stage for the finishers in the death overs. Therefore, Punjab Kings won their fifth match of the tournament and they surpassed Mumbai Indians (MI) in the latest IPL 2024 Points Table with 10 points.

From the Rajasthan Royals bowling department, Avesh Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets each in this match whereas Trent Boult got only one wicket each.
