In the death overs, South African batter Tristan Stubbs played a stormy inning of 57 runs in just 25 balls and led Delhi Capitals to 208 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of four wickets. From LSG Bowling Unit, Naveen-ul-Haq took two wickets whereas Ravi Bishnoi and Arshad Khan took one wicket each.

In the second Inning, Lucknow Super Giants came to chase the target but the top-order badly collapsed as LSG batters failed to play against the DC’s star Pacer Ishant Sharma. Lucknow Super Giants has lost four wickets in the powerplay itself which led Delhi Capitals to dominate the game.

But, The Wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran showed his class and batted aggressively against DC”s bowlers in order to shift the pressure. Pooran scored 61 runs in 27 balls, which included six fours and four sixes however this wasn’t enough as the target was very huge.

Lucknow Super Giants bowler Arshad Khan also contributed with 58 runs but still, DC defeated LSG by 19 runs in the crucial match. It was a must-win game for LSG but now, their journey has come to an end as it is almost impossible to qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs.
