IPL 2024: CSK Retained, Released and Traded Players Full list after Trade Window Deadline | Chennai Super Kings Players List: The Indian Premier League 2024 Trading Window has now ended and Chennai Super Kings has announced their retained and released players list. There are some of the big names released by CSK ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, which includes the name of Ben Stokes as well.
IPL 2024 Auction will be held on December 19, 2023, at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. This is the first time in IPL history that an IPL Auction will be held outside India. This year All 10 ten teams got an additional 5 crore purse for the IPL 2024 Auction.
It’s now almost confirmed that MS Dhoni will be playing in the IPL 2024 as he is retained by the CSK ahead of IPL 2024 Auction. Chennai Super Kings released Ben Stokes, whom they bought in the IPL 2023 Auction for 16.25 crore. Ben Stokes has been suffering from injury for a long time and he also didn’t play IPL 2023 all matches due to injury.
CSK has released Ambati Rayudu as he already announced his retirement last year whereas Dwaine Pretorius was released as he didn’t perform as the team expected from him and also there is a limited foreign players slot in the team.
After releasing and retaining the players, Chennai Super Kings have a purse of 32.1 crore for the IPL 2024 Auction, which means CSK will go for some big names in the IPL 2024 Auction. CSK played a smart move by releasing Ben Stokes as they got big purse value, by which they can target players like Rachin Ravindra.
