IPL 2024 Auction: As per the report of Cricbuzz, Dubai is going to host IPL 2024 Auction. Dubai will host the IPL 2024 Auction from 15 December 2023 to 19 December 2023. The BCCI moved the Auction of IPL 2024 from India to Dubai due to various reasons.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not announced the official dates of the IPL 2024 Auction, but various sources said that BCCI will shift the venue of the IPL 2024 Auction.
The 2nd edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 Auction will be held on 9 December 2023 in Delhi. After the WPL 2024 Auction, BCCI will conduct the IPL 2024 Auction in Dubai due to security reasons.
IPL Franchises haven’t received an Official confirmation of IPL 2024 Auction date and venue from BCCI. As per the sources, Dubai will host the IPL 2024 Auction on 18 and 19 December 2023. Last year, the BCCI chose Istanbul as the venue for IPL 2023 Auction but finally chose Kochi as the venue for IPL 2023 Auction.
We can expect that the BCCI may change its decision on the IPL 2024 Auction venue. Franchises are in active mode from news coming from various news websites.
Teams in the IPL are currently in the process of trading players, but no team has revealed any transfers yet.
BCCI has not provided auction details of the upcoming WPL 2024 Auction to team owners. Rumors suggest that WPL will shift from February to September 2024 due to elections in India.
There still needs to be clarity about the venues of WPL 2024, whether Mumbai will host all matches, or whether other venues will be shortlisted for WPL 2024.
BCCI officially yet not announced IPL 2024 Auction Dates:
The IPL 2024 will take place in India, even though it might coincide with the General Elections, as confirmed by IPL Governing Council Chairman Arun Dhumal. Arun Dhumal confirmed that the BCCI will announce the Dates of IPL 2024 after the announcement of General Election 2024 dates while giving an interview to Jagran News last week.
In 2019, the IPL had to move some matches because they clashed with state elections, creating a similar situation this time. BCCI will make the schedule of IPL 2024 after getting the full schedule of General Election 2024 to set the schedule of IPL.
