ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is going to be played between October 03 to 20. Bangladesh is the host nation of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 and a total of 23 matches will be played between 10 teams in this tournament. However, the top 8 teams are final but the remaining two slots will come from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifier, which is in its knockout stages.
The Six-times Champions, Australia along with India, New Zealand and Pakistan are present in Group A, therefore it will come up with lots of challenges for other teams. The Group A have the best T20I team in the world and it is going to be healthy competition between all five teams but only two teams will move to the semi-final.
South Africa, England and West Indies along with host Bangladesh are in Group B but if we look at Group A then it will be quite easy for the teams to compete in Group B than Group A. However, South Africa and England are very strong teams and they are expected to be in the top 2 spots after the group-stage games of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
All 23 matches of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be played at two different venues in Bangladesh. However, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium will host more matches than Sylhet International Cricket Stadium but both venues are known for their slow and spin-friendly wickets.
Last time, the Indian Women’s Cricket Team lost the semi-final match against Australia Women by 5 runs at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town. But, It is going to be more difficult in the T20 World Cup 2024 as Australia and New Zealand have excellent records against Team India in T20I Cricket.
