Jack Leach performed well in the starting two test matches in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam, respectively.
Jack Leach suffered a knee injury ahead of the third test match against India which is scheduled to start on February 15, 2024, at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The Absence of Jack Leach will impact England’s spin attack in the upcoming matches in this series.
The England Cricket Board (ECB) haven’t announced the replacement of Leach for the last three test matches against India. Currently, The five-match test series between India and England is tied by 1-1 however it is expected that Indian Team will win the remaining four games.

England’s key spinner Jack Leach played the first test match in Hyderabad despite having knee pain. Leach showed excellent intent and also performed phenomenally in the first test and played a crucial role in England’s victory.
IND vs ENG 2024: Spin Options left for England in the last three test matches:
Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir are the full-time spinners present in England’s test squad in the five-match test series against India. However, Joe Root is the part-time spinner of the England test team but he bowled well in the first test.
Currently, England’s test team stayed in Abu Dhabi ahead of the third test match, which will be played in Rajkot, Gujarat. England will try to add a spinner to the team as Leach’s replacement to maintain the strategy of using four spinners in Playing XI.
