ICC WTC Points Table 2024, New Zealand Surpassed India Updated After NZ vs SA 2nd Test 2024 | ICC World Test Championship Standings 2024: New Zealand defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second test match at Seddon Park Cricket Ground in Hamilton. After winning the second test match, New Zealand surpassed Indian and Australian Teams therefore they moved to the top position in the ICC WTC Points Table 2024.
New Zealand played excellent cricket throughout the series which resulted in a victory by 2-0 against South Africa, who is known for its robust bowling attack. However, South Africa failed to perform well with both bat and ball against New Zealand. The Player of the Series Kane Williamson as he led the New Zealand batting department from the front as he scored centuries in both test matches.
As of now, Australia slips to the second position in the latest ICC WTC Points Table 2024 with a PCT of 55.00%. However, they have played 10 matches so far in the ICC WTC 2023-2025 cycle out of which, they were able to win six games therefore Australia have 66 points in the ICC World Test Championship Points Table.
Team India drops to the third position in the ICC World Test Championship 2024 Points Table with a PCT of 52.77% but they are currently playing the five-match test series against England and it is expected that the Indian Team will win the series by 4-1. As of now, the five-match test series between both the teams is tied by 1-1.
