ICC Team Ranking After IND vs SL Asia Cup Final, Pakistan Again Becomes No.1 ODI Team | ICC Men’s ODI Team Standings: Despite losing the chance to appear in the Asia Cup Finals, Pakistan became the No.1 ODI Team in the ICC Team Ranking once again. India retains their position after winning the Asia Cup 2023 Final against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium.
India had a very good chance to become the No.1 ODI Team, but after losing the match against Bangladesh in the Super 4 Stage of the Asia Cup, they had to wait more and needed one more win to get the premier position in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Ranking.
There was a loss of shuffling in the top 3 positions of the ICC Team Ranking in the last few weeks. Sometimes Pakistan occupied the No.1 Position or sometimes Australia, whereas India lost, coming back and forth for the second position.
Pakistan hasn’t played good cricket in the Asia Cup 2023; they were ruled out of the tournament in the early stages and also gave a bad performance, especially with the bat. Pakistan might lose their top spot as they will not play any ODI series before the World Cup 2023.
India and Australia are going to play the three matches ODI Series in India from September 22 to September 27. This series will help both teams to test their bench strength before the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.
If India wins the first ODI match against Australia, then they will get the No.1 Position in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Ranking, whereas Australia needs to win two matches to get the top spot.
After Winning the ODI Series against Australia by 3-2, South Africa jumps to the 4th position in the ICC Team Ranking with a rating of 106, whereas England slips to the 5th spot with a rating of 105.
