The Indian women’s team won the Asia Cup 2022 for Women. The tournament held in Bangladesh and India has come up with winners. India defeated Sri Lanka in the finals by 8 wickets to seal the series. Deepti Sharma was named player of the series. India had a very great tournament except for their loss against arch-rivals Pakistan. Deepti Sharma, the Indian all-rounder who was in the limelight due to the “Mankading” incident, has been named the “Player of the Series”. This is the exact way a champion can shut the critics by performing to the fullest and in the so-called “spirit of the game”. Deepti made it a point to contribute by bowling exceptional spells when the team required it the most. In the finals, she bowled 4 overs at the economy of 1.8 runs per over. In the semifinals, she bowled 4 overs at an economy of 1.8 too but this time also took 3 wickets!
