Deepti Sharma, the Indian all-rounder who was in the limelight due to the “Mankading” incident, has been named the “Player of the Series”. This is the exact way a champion can shut the critics by performing to the fullest and in the so-called “spirit of the game”. Deepti made it a point to contribute by bowling exceptional spells when the team required it the most. In the finals, she bowled 4 overs at the economy of 1.8 runs per over. In the semifinals, she bowled 4 overs at an economy of 1.8 too but this time also took 3 wickets!
