SRH defeated PBKS by 2 runs at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mohali, SRH played exceptional cricket in this match, especially with the ball. However, PBKS retain their sixth position in the TATA IPL Points Table with four points.
Punjab Kings could have played better cricket with a bat as they failed to good start and the key players haven’t played any big innings. SRH vs PBKS Match Highlights, Who won Yesterday’s IPL Match?
Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and they had a poor start in the match against Punjab Kings as they made 40 runs with the loss of three wickets. Punjab Kings Pacer Arshdeep Singh bowled phenomenally in this match but SRH scored a decent 182 runs on the scoreboard. The Youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy played a fantastic inning of 64 runs in 37 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes.
Nitish Kumar Reddy’s impressive inning led Sunrisers Hyderabad to a decent total otherwise their batting department might collapse in this match. From the Punjab Kings bowling unit, Arshdeep Singh took four wickets whereas Sam Curran and Harshal Patel got two wickets each.
In the second inning, Punjab Kings had an excellent chance to win the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad but the openers got out early and PBKS only 27 runs in the first powerplay with a loss of three wickets. However, Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza tried to make a partnership but they got out by scoring 29 and 28 runs, respectively.
Later on, Shawshank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma played an exceptional innings for Punjab Kings and they tried their best but unfortunately, SRH lost the match by 2 runs. Shawshank Sharma played a stormy inning of 46 runs in 25 balls whereas Ashutosh Sharma scored 33 runs in 15 balls.
From the Punjab Kings bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets whereas Skipper Pat Cummins, T. Natarajan, Jaydev Udadkat and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each.
