WWE announced before the Raw program that Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE title in Elimination Chamber inside the characteristic cage of the event.
Lashley took the company title at Royal Rumble, however, he hardly got to enjoy his victory. Only an hour later he already knew that he was going to have to defend the belt in Elimination Chamber and during the Raw program his rivals were announced.
Brock Lesnar
The former champion was the first fighter announced to participate in the match. Lesnar stated on Raw that he will use his status as the Royal Rumble champion to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38, but that he wants it to be a champion vs. champion match. In this way, Lesnar to Lashley to a match for the title which he rejected MVP. Following this segment, Adam Pearce announced Lesnar’s entry into the Elimination Chamber match.
Seth Rollins
After falling to Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins made an appearance on Raw. The wrestler announced that he had been invited to the WWE title match in the middle of his talk show with Kevin Owens. Rollins has experience in this type of combat, as he participated in the 2018 edition.
Austin Theory
The big surprise of the classifieds. The young fighter defeated Kevin Owens in one of the Raw qualifying matches and is facing his second opportunity to win the WWE title.
Riddle
After rumors about the fact that he was planned to win the 2022 Royal Rumble , Riddle qualified for the Elimination Chamber. The former tag team champion defeated Otis in his qualifying match. It is the first time that Riddle is going to opt for the WWE world title.
A.J. Styles
The last match of the night was a real show between AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. AJ ended up with the victory and qualified for the Elimination Chamber. Styles participated in the 2017 and 2019 editions of the match.
