Indian women’s wrestler Sakshi Malik displayed her attacking game to win a gold medal in the UWW Ranking Series event on Friday.

This is his first international gold medal in five years, apart from Rio Olympics bronze medalist Sakshi Malik, India’s Mansi and Divya Kakran also topped the list.

Sakshi Malik, who was earlier fighting for the Commonwealth Games, made a spectacular comeback at the international level from this event.

Sakshi Malik started off with a technical brilliance against Kazakhstan’s Irina Kuznetsova and then registered a massive 9-3 win over Uzbekistan’s Rushana Abdirasulova.

After this Tserenchimed Sukhi of Mongolia withdrew from the semi-final match. Sakshi defeated the domestic wrestler for the second time in the day, defeating Kuznetsova 7-4 in the final.
