Mino Raiola

Mino Raiola, the most powerful football agent passed away at the age of 54 after battling an undisclosed illness. Mino was the agent of several superstars in the footballing world. Zlatan Ibrahimović, Erling Haaland, Mario Balotelli, Matthijs De Ligt, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and many more players were managed by Mino. Before Mino’s actual sad demise, several reports falsely alleged the passing of this amazing individual. A tweet then clarified that Mino was with us. But just a day after the tweet surfaced, Mino’s family in another tweet affirmed the passing away of this champion.  

Mino Raiola Passes Away Aged 54:  

With Mino battling an undisclosed serious illness from January of 2022, his death was tragic. He fought till the very end and had the will to live is what his close ones have to say. Mino Raiola was the agent of star players like Paul Pogba, Zlatan, and Pavel Nedved. Raiola was the one who oversaw the “World-Record Transfer” of Paul Pogba for 93.2-million dollars from Juventus to Manchester United.  

Dr. Alberto Zangrillo, from San Raffaele hospital in Milan, told the news agency Ansa on Thursday that Raiola was “fighting to survive”. Mino’s family affirmed the passing away by stating “In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent there ever was. Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realized it” 

They further added, “Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will forever be missed. Mino’s mission of making football a better place for players will continue with the same passion.”  

Raiola Taking a Stand for Players: 

Previously there have been several instances of Raiola taking a stand for all the players he has managed. He had severely criticized Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the miss management of his player Paul Pogba. He accused Ole of ruining Pogba’s time at Manchester United and not using Paul to the fullest. Raiola earlier had a fall-out with Sir Alex Ferguson, the former manager of Manchester United, and said in an interview for Zlatan’s biographies that he found a kindred spirit in the Swede. “I realized straight away that he was an arrogant bastard! he said. Raiola was fluent in multiple languages and spoke French, Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, English, and Italian.
