FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2024 Schedule: The 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer championship contested by the men’s national teams of FIFA’s member associations.
Overall, it will be the 22nd edition of the World Cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the Beach Soccer World Championship, which ran from 1995 to 2004 but was not governed by FIFA; All World Cups were held annually until 2009, after which it became a biennial event.
Originally slated to take place in 2023, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was announced at the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop in November 2017 that it would instead continue to be contested every two years in odd-numbered years from 2018 to 2024.
The bidding process for the said edition was later opened by FIFA in October 2021, which ended with the selection of the United Arab Emirates as host in December 2022.
The tournament was initially scheduled to take place from 16 to 26 November 2023. However, in June 2023, the tournament was delayed to 15–25 February 2024 to provide organizers more time to prepare for the event.
As a result, its original 2023 branding was removed, and it later became known as the 2024 edition. It will take place in Dubai, the second city to host multiple times, having also hosted the 2009 edition. The reigning champion is Russia. [Note RFU] All senior Russian national teams are currently prohibited from participating in FIFA tournaments for an undetermined period of time.
