Indian legendary pacer, Zaheer Khan has been named the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor, filling in the vacancy of the position which was left in 2023 after Gautam Gambhir’s exit from the team.
Now with Zaheer’s appointment as the mentor, this is still not known if he will also perform as their bowling coach, especially when Morne Morkel left the franchise to join Gautam Gambhir’s coaching staff for the Indian team.
Gambhir took up the mentor’s role in for Kolkata Knight Riders and then went on to become the head coach of India’s Men’s team. After his exit, Justin Langer took command of the team as their head coach, which he took from Andy Flower.
The Lucknow Super Giants are keen on not only appointing him as their mentor but also offering him a profile much wider, which includes development and player scouting during the off-season.
