WPL Auction 2024: Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, Purse Remaining, Where to Watch | Women’s Premier League 2024: The Auction for the Second Edition of Women’s Premier League is scheduled for December 09, 2023 in Mumbai. The WPL 2024 is expected to be held around February-March 2024. All five franchises will be looking to fill the gaps in their team for the WPL 2024.
A total of 165 players registered their names for the Women’s Premier League 2024 Auction, and out of which, the list includes 104 Indian, 61 overseas and 15 associate players. Overall, There are 30 slots available for all five teams in the WPL Auction 2024, and a maximum of nine spots are available for overseas players.
Gujarat Giants have the highest purse value of 5.95 crores remaining for the WPL 2024 Auction, and UP Warriorz have the second highest purse value of 4 crores, whereas Mumbai Indians has the lowest purse value of 2.1 crores remaining for the WPL Auction 2024.
There are only two players, West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin and Australian Player Kim Garth, who have set the highest base price of 50 lakhs for the IPL 2024 Auction. Both the players are expected to be picked by the teams in the auction at a good price.
Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore have the highest slots of 10 remaining for the WPL Auction 2024, whereas Delhi Capitals have the lowest slots left for the WPL Auction, which is three. Gujarat Giants are expected to target some of the big players in the auction as they were almost changing their full team ahead of WPL 2024.
