AUS vs PAK 2023-24: Australia Announces Strong Squad for the 1st Test Match | Pakistan Tour of Australia 2023-24: Australia announced their squad for the first test match, which will be played at Perth Cricket Stadium. David Warner returns to the test squad whereas other key players who were given rest for the T20I series against India made a comeback for the three-match test series against Pakistan.
Lance Morris got a maiden call in Australia’s test squad for the test series against Pakistan after performing wonderfully in first-class cricket in Australia. Nathan Lyon also returns to the test squad as he replaces Todd Murphy for this crucial test series.
This three-match test series is very important for both Australia and Pakistan as the series-winning team occupies the top position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table. Currently, Pakistan is present at the top position whereas Australia is at fourth spot in the ICC WTC 2023-25 Points Table.
The Bowling department of the Australia team looks robust and they are expected to perform phenomenally in the test series against Pakistan. The Batting Department includes players like Travis Head, David Warner, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne who are known for their excellent batting skills in test cricket.
A few days earlier, Pakistan also announced their squad for this test series and they will be playing with their new captain Shan Masood, who played excellent cricket in the test series against New Zealand. There are a few new faces in Pakistan’s test squad, including Noman Ali and Khurram Shahzad.
Both the teams will be playing a four-day warm-up match which is scheduled on December 06 at Manuka Oval Cricket Ground, Canberra. It will exciting to watch both the teams playing test cricket and also it is going to be a close contest between them.
