Shami Receives Arjuna Award From President of India After Becoming highest wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup 2023: The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 Performer and the Indian Team Star Pacer Mohd Shami has received the Arjuna Award for his excellent performance in the ODI World Cup 2023. Mohd. Shami took 24 wickets in just seven games at an economy rate of 5.26.
The President of India, Draupadi Murmu gave the second-highest sporting award after the Khel Ratna Award to the Indian Seam Bowler Mohd. Shami. A Total of 26 Athletes have been awarded by the President of India for their wonderful performances in the Year 2023 and the Mohd. Shami is the only athlete from the Indian Cricket.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave the name of Indian Star Pacer Mohd. Shami to the awarding committee for his phenomenal performance in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 and the important bilateral series throughout the Year 2023. With his excellent contribution, the Indian Team went to the Final but unfortunately, they lost the match against Australia by 6 wickets.
