U19 World Cup 2024: Pakistan U19 Lost The Semi-Final Match against Australia U19 by 1 Wicket | ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024: Australia U19 and Pakistan U19 were playing the second semi-final match of ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024 at Sahara Park Willowmoore Cricket Stadium in Benoni. Australia U19 defeated Pakistan U19 in the nail-biting thriller game on February 08 by 1 wicket.

The Player of the Match was Australian player Tom Straker as he took six wickets in the semi-final match against Pakistan in Benoni, South Africa. Australian U19 Team played good cricket ball but they failed to perform with the bat in the second inning which led the match to a close contest. Harry Dixon and Ollie Peake scored 50 and 49 runs, respectively for Australia U19 in the semi-final match against Pakistan.

Pakistan U19 Team lost the crucial match despite having a good chance to win the game as they bowled phenomenally against the Australia batters but if there were more runs on the scoreboard then the results might be different for Pakistan. Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas scored 52 runs each in the second semi-final match of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan U19 Team batted first in the second semi-final match of ICC U19 World Cup 2024 but they had a poor start as Pakistan lost a couple of wickets in the starting few overs which led Pakistani middle order batter in pressure. However, Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas are the only batters from the Pakistan side who scored 20+ runs in the semi-final match.

Most of the Pakistani batters got out by scoring single-digit runs however, Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas made a crucial partnership of 54 runs which led Pakistan to a decent score. Therefore, the Pakistan U19 Team got all out by scoring 179 runs on the scoreboard in 48.5 overs. From the Australia U19 Team bowling department, Tom Straker took six wickets in his ten overs spell however, other bowlers got a single wicket.

Australia U19 also didn’t have a good start in the second inning but they played better cricket with bat in the starting few overs however, this didn’t last long as Australia lost four wickets back to back. But Ollie Peake and Harry Dixon made a crucial partnership for the fifth wicket and led the Australian Team back into the game.

After Harry Dixon got out by scoring 50 runs, Ollie Peake made a partnership with Tom Edward Campbell. From Pakistan’s bowing department, Ali Raza took four wickets and Arafat Minhas got two wickets. With this, the Australian U19 Team won the semi-final match against the Pakistan U19 Team by 1 wicket in Benoni, South Africa.
