The TATA IPL 2022 has revamped all the teams. All the foes have been coincidentally paired together. The tournament is featuring Jos Butler and Ravi Ashwin playing in the same jersey for the Rajasthan Royals. Similarly, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya are also playing for the same franchise, the Lucknow Super Giants. Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya have had their differences while playing for Baroda. Here is an in-depth look at the same:
Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya Play Together in TATA IPL 2022:
Hooda and Pandya were earlier associated with each other till the 2020 Domestic Season when they were playing for Baroda. Krunal was an integral part of the leadership group back then. Due to some unfortunate situation arising, Deepak felt that Krunal’s code of conduct towards him was improper. Some reports say that Deepak heard Krunal abusing him in front of other teammates which was degrading for Deepak. Deepak had complained about the same to the Baroda Cricket Association. But instead of taking the matter further, Hooda just packed his bags and left to play for his home state Rajasthan.
Deepak was a different gravy when playing for Rajasthan. While playing for Rajasthan, Deepak became more responsible and was giving match-winning performances. His exceptional performances in the white-ball format got him a place in the Indian national team for the West Indies and Sri Lanka tour of India. Finally, after a year of leaving Gujarat, Deepak has broken his silence regarding his relationship with Krunal Pandya.
Deepak Hooda Breaks Silence:
“Krunal Pandya is like my brother, and brothers do fight. We are playing with one aim, which is to win games for LSG,” said Hooda, while giving an interview with Dainik Jagran.
When asked about his ambitions and goals regarding the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in November and December of 2022, Deepak said, “Just like everyone even my dream is to represent India at World Cup, however, my job is delivering good performances and leave the rest for the selectors to decide. I’m an all-rounder and along with the bat, my target is to perform well with the ball too and I don’t think anything else apart from this.”
