T20 World Cup 2024: Nassau County International Cricket Stadium unveiled in New York ahead of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup: Fans can express their interest in tickets for the eight World Cup matches that the stadium will host here. The state-of-the-art 34,000-seat modular Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, which will host eight ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches in New York, was unveiled today.
This week marked the start of the project at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, which is located 30 miles east of Manhattan. The site has been gated off, and outfield work is currently being done.
When finished in three months, the stadium will hold the largest-ever cricket carnival spectacle, accommodating 34,000 spectators in VIP and hospitality suites, party decks and cabanas in addition to premium and general admission seats.
Although a world first for cricket, modular stadiums are regularly used in other sports including Formula 1, golf and the Olympic Games giving fans every facility they would expect at a global sporting event.
The stadium is designed by world-class sports and entertainment venue architecture firm Populous, which has designed some of the world’s most iconic stadiums, including Yankee Stadium in New York; Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, home of the English Premier League, and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world.

In New York, he is the architect of record for both the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. The pitches are being developed by Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions, led by renowned Adelaide Oval head curator Damien Hough, while the outfield is being constructed by Landtec Group, the US-based sports turf specialist who designed the grounds for the New York Yankees. Fans will have the opportunity to take part in a celebration of cricket and be a part of history by watching the world’s best players in action, with eight ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches being hosted between June 3 and 12, featuring the game’s hottest players. ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardyce said: “We are excited to unveil the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley said: “It is extremely exciting to see the progress made in the construction of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York over the past month. Work on the outfield commenced in January and in the past few weeks the East Stand framework has really started to take shape.”
