Pakistan Announces International Cricket Schedule Home and Away for 2024-25: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday, July 5, that Bangladesh, England, and the West Indies will tour Pakistan to play a total of seven Test matches.

Additionally, Pakistan will host an ODI tri-series featuring New Zealand and South Africa in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held in Pakistan.

Pakistan will also play nine ODIs, two Test matches, and three Twenty20 Internationals on tours to Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

The World Test Championship 2023–25 cycle, in which Pakistan is presently ranked fifth with a points percentage of 36.66, will include all of the Test matches.

Pakistan’s home season will begin in August with a two-Test series against Bangladesh, while a three-Test series against England will be played in October.

The West Indies will conclude the Test series at home with a two-Test series in January. After this, the focus will shift to preparing for the Champions Trophy with an ODI tri-series featuring New Zealand and South Africa.

In a busy three-month period away from home in November, December, and January, Pakistan will tour Australia and Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three T20Is.

Following these tours, Pakistan will head to South Africa for an all-format series, including the iconic Boxing Day Test in Centurion.

Speaking about the schedule announcement, PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi: “It was critically important for us to finalise, lock and announce our 2024-25 home international cricket season now.

“This ensures that both the men’s cricket team management and the PCB event staff have sufficient time to prepare, plan and deliver these series to our very high expectations and standards, showcasing Pakistan as an outstanding cricket nation and the PCB as a thoroughly professional organization.

“The visits by five top cricket-playing nations in the lead-up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, followed by seven countries participating in the event proper over the next eight months, also highlight Pakistan’s standing and stature in international cricket. We deeply value the participation of these teams and players, who will bring immense talent and competitive spirit to our fields.”
