Sanju’s Comeback, Shami rested: Team India Update For West Indies Tour: India will play an all-format series against West Indies next month in West Indies and USA, and the Series will start on 12 June 2023. 

Team India is on a break after losing the ICC World Test Championship(WTC) Final 2023 against Australia by 209 runs. The Test match was played at the Oval in London, but Team disappointed the Fans with the humiliating Defeat against the Aussies.

After this Defeat, Some Changes could be seen in the Indian test Squad and Some changes in the ODI squad because the Asia Cup and World Cup will start in a few months. In July, Team India will travel to the Caribbean islands for an all-format tour, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and Five T20I Matches.

Team India will give opportunities to Youngster in West Indies Tour:

As per the Cricbuzz report, Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal, who shown tremendous form in IPL 2023 and impressed everyone a lot and Now, is expected to get into the test cricket for Team India in place of Chateshwar Pujara. The First test match will be played on 12 July in Dominica.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has traveled to England with Team India for WTC Final 2023 as a standby player, but now, he will debut in the test circuit for Team India against India. Yashasvi has performed fantastically in domestic cricket, with an average of 80.21.

India’s Top four Batters, Skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane, are expected to retain their position in the squad for the two matches test series against West Indies in Dominica and Trinidad. Mohammed Shami and Mohd. Siraj is expected to get rested for the West Indies tour, as important ICC Tournaments are scheduled later this year.

Two Young Pacers, Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik will be included in the squad, whereas Sanju Samson is set to return to the ODI and T20I squad for the West Indies Tour, he hasn’t played in India White ball cricket for Indian Team for a couple of months.

The Wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat is expected to retain his place in the Test squad despite having a decent performance with the bat at Kennington Oval in London but done excellent Wicket Keeping in the WTC Final.
