At lunch, the team looked comprehensive, with Zorzi nearing a hundred and Stubbs also looking settled handsomely, while at tea, both of these batters had scored their hundreds, maiden for them but records loading already.
De Zorzi, with this feat, also turned only the second Black African after Temba Bavuma to have scored a test hundred for South Africa. At Stumps, South Africa have extended themselves to a very respectable total of 307/2 at the end of Day 1. Zorzi remains not out on 141*, while Stubbs was out for 106, while also Bedingham is the other batter alongside Zorzi for 18*.
