Abhimanyu Easwaran might make it to the India team as an opener for the Indian team ahead of the BGT

Easwaran has been noted recently after an invincible innings, in which he played against the Mumbai team in the Irani Cup. The Bengal-based Ranji batter was in red-hot form, as he was the most informed batter in the Ranji Trophy, a form which he continued during the Duleep Trophy, where he scored successive hundreds.

Though Easwaran could not make it to the Bangladesh series, he might be seen as one of the most highly considered openers in the upcoming series against New Zealand. Sarfaraz Khan might once again be backed in the middle order, even if he replaces some of the most veteran players.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played under different conditions, though Easwaran might be a very possible opener and a backup alongside Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. If the New Zealand series goes well, the selections for which are round the corner, he might make it into the BGT as well, considering his stunning form.
