PAK vs AFG 2nd ODI 2023: Pakistan Beat Afghanistan by 1 Wicket and Won the Series: Pakistan and Afghanistan were Playing the Second ODI match at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota and Pakistan won the match by 1 Wicket in the thrilling last over.

The Player of the Match in the second ODI was Shadab Khan, who played a fantastic cricket and scored 48 runs in 35 balls. The inning by Shadab Khan was special, as his team needed a decent inning by a player to win the match.

After Winning the Second ODI match, Pakistan became the number 1 ranked ODI team in the world. The match was very close between both the teams, but Pakistan handled the pressure well and played exceptional cricket, hence winning the match.

Afghanistan showed a great comeback in the second ODI as they got all out at 59 runs in the first ODI, but now, In the second ODI, They scored a massive 300 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of only five wickets.

The Partnership between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran was Phenomenal, and the bowling department, The Strength of the Afghani team, did their work well, but unfortunately, the last over wasn’t good, and they lost the match despite having good momentum in the game.

Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. They started the inning well and didn’t lose a single wicket till 39 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz played terribly in this match, whereas his opening partner Ibrahim Zadran also supported him for the other end.

Both made a huge Partnership of 227 runs for the 1st wicket in the second ODI match at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota. The Partnership between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran became the second-highest opening partnership against Pakistan in ODI Cricket.

Ibrahim Zadran scored 80 runs in 101 balls with six fours and two sixes, whereas Rahmanullah knocked his 5th Century in ODIs and scored 151 runs in 151 balls with 14 fours and three sixes.

After Scoring the Century, Rahmanullah Gurbaz became the first Afghanistan Player to have scored a hundred against Pakistan in ODI Cricket. In the end, Afghanistan made 300 runs on the scoreboard in 50 overs.

Pakistan came to chase the target, and they lost only one wicket in the powerplay, whereas Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam made a crucial partnership of 118 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Imam-ul-Haq scored 91 runs in 105 runs, and Babar Azam made 53 runs in 6 balls. After they got out, Pakistan’s middle order collapsed, but Shadab Khan played an important inning of 48 runs and led his team to victory.
