PAK vs AFG 2023: Pakistan won the ODI Series by 3-0 and became No.1 Team in ODIs: Pakistan beat Afghanistan in the 3rd ODI match by 59 runs at R Premadasa Stadium and sealed the three matches ODI series in Sri Lanka by 3-0.

After Winning the ODI Series against Afghanistan, Pakistan moved to the top spot in ICC Men’s ODI team Ranking, and now, they are leading the chart in ODI Team Ranking.

Skipper Babar Azam has done a lot for his team and regained the position after April 2023 to become the No.1 Ranked Team in ODI Cricket. The Player of the Series was Imam-ul-Haq, who played phenomenally in this series, especially in the starting two matches.

Babar Azam and Mohd. Rizwan led their team to have 268 runs on the scoreboard as they made 60 and 67 runs in this match. Afghanistan bowlers did quite well while bowling in the first inning and stopped Pakistan at a decent score.

Fareed Khan and Gulbadin Naib took two wickets each, whereas while Chasing the Target, Afghani batters lost their wickets easily and lost the match; Mujeeb was the highest run scorer from their side as he scored 64 runs.

Pakistan Bowlers showed dominance since the start of the inning as they took some early wickets. Shadab Khan bowled well in this match, and he took three wickets, whereas Shaheen Afridi got only two wickets.

The match was interesting, but it was obvious that Pakistan defeated Afghanistan and claimed the series by 3-0. The Performance by Pakistan batters and Bowlers was excellent; they have shown great teamwork in this series.

1st ODI: Pakistan won by 142 runs

2nd ODI: Pakistan won by one wicket

3rd ODI: Pakistan won by 59 runs

Winning the series against Afghanistan before the Asia Cup 2023 will definitely help Pakistan in the tournament as they are gaining momentum, and the key players are performing well.

India and Pakistan will play against each other in Asia Cup 2023 on September 5, 2023, at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, and the match will start at 3:00 PM (IST).
