NZ-W vs ENG-W 2024: England Announces Squad for the White-ball Series against New Zealand | England Women Tour of New Zealand 2024: England Cricket Board (ECB) announced the strong squad for the T20I and ODI series against New Zealand. However, Many Key players are set to miss this white-ball series as they will be playing the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 in India, which is scheduled to start on February 23, 2024.
Tammy Beaumont made a comeback to England’s T20I side after a gap of long two years however, she returns to the both T20I and ODI sides. Tammy Beaumont has played good cricket in the past years but it will be pretty much difficult for her to play cricket with the same momentum as earlier.
Nat Sciver-Brunt, Alice Capsey, Danni Wyatt and Sophie Ecclestone are the few key players who are set to miss the first three T20I matches. They are added to the squad for the 4th and 5th T20I match after the end of Women’s Premier League 2024 However, they might not play the last two matches due to the workload management.
Heather Knight will be leading the England Women’s Team in both T20I and ODI series as she withdraws her name from the Women’s Premier League 2024. Therefore, She will be available throughout the series as the Women’s Premier League schedule clashes with the T20I series between England and New Zealand.
Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, Sophia Dunkley, and Sarah Glenn are the key players of England Women’s T20I side and their performances will play a crucial role in the outcome of the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. However, England will be playing with their full bench strength in the three-match ODI series.
The Five-match T20I series between England and New Zealand is scheduled to start on March 19, 2024, and the last T20I game will be played on March 29, 2024. After the T20I series, England and New Zealand will be playing the three-match ODI series which is scheduled to start from April 01, 2024.
