Jasprit Bumrah, India’s pace sensation has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022. But this brings with it another report. This report says that Bumrah has also been ruled out of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which is going to be held in Australia. This will make a huge blow to the Indian national team as Jasprit Bumrah happens to be their strike bowler. So, here is an in-depth look at the same:

Jasprit Bumrah Doubtful for ICC T20 World Cup 2022:

The Indian Cricket Team will be rattled if the report about the severity of Jasprit Bumrah’s injury is true. For the Indian team, he is more than just an asset. The team requires his services at the ICC T20 World Cup, but it is more than likely that he might miss the same.

“Yes, it’s concerning. He is back in rehab and will get the best medical advice available. The problem is it’s his old injury and that is what is concerning. We have just two months left for the World Cup and he has got this injury at the worst possible time. We are closely monitoring his condition. He is the best bowler in cricket and needs to be carefully managed”, a BCCI official said.

Jasprit Bumrah is one of the Best T20 Bowlers:

The fact of the matter is that Jasprit Bumrah is not any fringe or backup bowler. He is the spearhead of the Indian bowling lineup. From yorkers to slower bowls to wide yorkers, Bumrah has them all. He has also worked on a knuckleball. All-in-all, it makes him a complete T20 package. His economy of 7 in the death overs speaks volumes of his skill level.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to take Responsibility:

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to take responsibility. He is the senior bowler in the Indian camp. Mohammed Shami was another good option but the BCCI selection panel has made it clear that they will not be considering Shami for the T20Is. With the absence of Bumrah and the arrival of Arshdeep Singh, the death bowling looks manageable but who will be the wicket-taker? Whenever Rohit wanted a wicket while playing for the Mumbai Indians, he threw the ball to Bumrah. Who will do that role? We will have to wait and watch as only time will tell.
