The TATA IPL 2022 season is 20 days away! This extravaganza of cricket will feature 10 teams this time. The batting on display in the IPL is always top-notch. The first season saw a 19-year-old Manish Pandey scoring a 100. Chris Gayle is one name that has always dominated the league. David Warner, the pocket-size dynamo from Australia also has made the league his own. Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Watson, Gautam Gambhir, and many more such players have got a hand on the orange cap at least once. Here is a look at the players who will possibly win the orange cap in TATA IPL 2022: 

1)David Warner can win the Orange Cap in TATA IPL 2022: 

The only thing more dangerous than a lion is a hungry lion. There is nothing more applicable for the situation of David Warner other than this proverb. Warner had a very average season last year with the bat. He wasn’t on terms with the team management as well. After signing up for Delhi Capitals, his old franchise, Warner will be looking to score big. He plays the short ball very well. He requires no introduction as every cricket fan knows what Warner can do on his day.  

2)Ruturaj Gaikwad can win the Orange Cap in TATA IPL 2022: 


Once a tiger strikes blood, he wants it once again! Ruturaj Gaikwad was the holder of the orange cap last season. He carried the weight of all the Chennai batting line-ups. He alongside Faf Du Plessis looked formidable. His ball-striking ability is second to none. Ruturaj can play the classy drives and also can play the innovative shots. His hundred against the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 shows his class. 

3)Shreyas Iyer can win the Orange Cap: 

Shreyas Iyer has now found a place that he can call his own. Iyer is appointed as the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders. His recent exploits against the Sri Lankan team showed his capabilities. He will bat number 3 for KKR. He will take his time and score very well.  

4)Ishan Kishan can win the Orange Cap in TATA IPL 2022: 

Ishan Kishan will be trying to justify the 15 Core price tag associated with him. While doing that he will also be looking to enjoy and express himself. When Ishan bats, he bats big. His slam-bang approach works very well for him. Ishan needs to be given the backing and his approach needs to be supported. Kishan showed signs of good touch in the first game against Sri Lanka. Kishan bats at a strike rate of 140 and an average of 30.2. This makes him a complete package. Add to it his wicket-keeping abilities which give him an upper hand.

5)Sanju Samson can win the Orange Cap: 

Sanju Samson has been the top scorer for the Rajasthan Royals for 3 consecutive seasons. He has always been in the reckoning. Sanju Samson, the lad from Kerala is one of the top middle-order batters. Ever since taking the leadership role with RR, he has taken his game to another level. Samson is certainly a top prospect for the orange cap as he makes runs at a strike rate of 145.
