Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the dedicated player for Chennai Super Kings. Earlier Dhoni was the most expensive player in the IPL for the first season auctions. Under his captaincy, Chennai Super Kings won the 2010, 2011, 2018 and the 2021 Indian Premier League titles and the 2010 and 2014 Champions League T20 titles.
Rockstar Ravindra Jadeja was selected by the Rajasthan Royals for the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, and played an important role in their victory (Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final). Jadeja scored 135 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 131.06, his best score being 36* against Kings XI Punjab. In the 19th match of the 2021 Indian Premier League, Jadeja hit joint-most 37 runs in the last over bowled by Harshal Patel. He later took 3/13 in his four overs and was named player of the match.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was bought in December 2018 by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. On 2 October 2021, Gaikwad scored his first IPL century, with 101 not out against the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 tournament.[35] On 15 October, Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs in the finals with Gaikwad contributing to CSK’s total by scoring 32 runs off 27 balls. He won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs (635) in the 2021 tournament and was also awarded the Emerging Player of the Year award.
Robin Uthappa
Robin Uthappa played for Mumbai Indians in the 2008 Indian Premier League and had a fairly successful opening season. In his first match he scored 48 runs from 38 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the next game, against Chennai Super Kings, he made 43 (36) including 6 fours and a six.
Robin Uthappa was traded In January 2021 to Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League. He scored 63 runs from 44 balls in the Qualifier 1 against Delhi Capitals which helped Super kings to march towards the 9th IPL finals.
K.M. Asif
K M Asif was bought in January 2018 by the Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL auction. KM Asif made his IPL debut that season against Delhi Daredevils after an injury to Deepak Chahar. Again Asif was bought in February 2022 by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar was bought in January 2018, by Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL auction. Deepak was named in the India grade B squad in January 2018, for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. In February 2022, he was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
Simarjeet Singh
Simarjeet Singh was added to the Mumbai Indians squad In September 2021, for the rest of the 2021 Indian Premier League tournament, replacing the injured Arjun Tendulkar. In February 2022, Singh was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament
Moeen Ali was released by the RCB and was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL auction ahead for the upcoming season in February 2021, for a price of nearly £700,000. Moeen was part of the CSK squad that went on to win the 2021 IPL Championship, becoming the first Englishman to do so. Ali was retained by CSK before their 2022 IPL season.
Dwayne Bravo
Dwayne Bravo played for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League for the first three seasons. He was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings during 2011 IPL Auctions. He was one of the top performing players in the 2012 IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings scoring 461 runs at an average of 57 with a strike rate of 178. He also performed well in the 2013 IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings, taking 32 wickets at an average of 9.15 to win the Purple Cap and overthrow Albie Morkel to become Chennai Super Kings’s leading wicket taker. During IPL 2014 he sustained a shoulder injury in the first match against Kings XI Punjab and was subsequently ruled out of the remaining matches.
Adam Milne
Adam Milne was recruited for the by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League 2015, but he was unable to play due to injury, he did play for RCB in both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the tournament. Adam was bought in February 2022, by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
Mukesh Choudhary
Mukesh Choudhary made his List A debut on 7 October 2019, for Maharashtra in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mukesh Choudhary made his Twenty20 debut on 8 November 2019, for Maharashtra in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Mukesh Choudhary was bought in February 2022, by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.
