IPL 2023: Who will be the next captain of the Chennai Super Kings? Wasim Jaffer suggested the name: Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of India, quit playing international cricket in 2020. He now only appears in a yellow jersey in the IPL. The IPL in 2023 is anticipated to be his final season. He did not play as a captain in the opening round of the 2022 IPL. Veteran all-arounder Ravindra Jadeja was given the captaincy in his place. But under his leadership, the outcomes were not favorable. He then quit his job after that.
Wasim Jaffer, a former cricketer for Team India and the new coach of Kings XI Punjab, has proposed the name of another Indian player who will help CSK advance in place of Dhoni.
In a statement to ESPN Cricinfo, Wasim Jaffer stated: “I’m not sure who will lead CSK in the future, but Rituraj Gaikwad might be the choice of MS Dhoni if he sees another player. Gaikwad, in my opinion, can take over as team captain after Dhoni and possibly be given some authority. due to his youth. He has also served as Maharashtra’s captain. He can be trained to be the next leader.”
