Possibly BCCI can shift the mega auction if they can’t secure a venue which follow to all COVID-19 guidelines in Bengaluru.

India’s biggest Cricket tournament, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season 15th of Mega auction date, time and venue has been scheduled in February at Bengaluru. But currently BCCI The Board of Control for Cricket in India, the increasing COVID-19 cases in India along with fresh restrictions imposed by the Karnataka government mean that Bengaluru as the venue for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction is still under the scanner.

As per the Bengaluru government COVID- 19 guideline, if The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will follow the rules the mega auction for IPL 2022 can be scheduled in Bengaluru otherwise the mega auction event possibly will take another venue.

While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Determined the Indian Indian Premier League 2022 auctions on month February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to book hotels. As per the sports media, the BCCI was looking at have asked the board to wait for a some days as the Karnataka government is due to issue with COVID-19 restrictions. The restrictions are expected to include a cap on gatherings preventing BCCI to host the IPL 2022 auctions.

“Some time things are out of our hands and we must wait for it. Bookings and all stuff will be not an issue if we will have an idea the restrictions. We are closely monitoring the situation and are in talks with the state associations. If we need to move the venue, it can be done on short notice,”
