KKR vs RR Match Highlights: The Kolkata Knight Riders went home with the hope of continuing their winning streak in the hope of keeping their playoff chances alive with four straight wins from now on. Eden Gardens has been a mixed den for the Knight Riders; however, Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, come from a very disappointing batting performance against Mumbai in the last game on their home venue.
This time around, both the teams that have been on the backfoot in most of their games, the two batting units, finally found some success with their key players hitting form, but maybe too late for both the defending champions KKR and the Royals. Andre Russell for KKR and Riyan Parag for the Rajasthan Royals both hit prime form with big runs in the game.

KKR vs RR Match Highlights: Andre Russell’s magic after a long time at the Eden Gardens

Kolkata again could not have the best of a start to their innings, as Sunil Narine got out once again early in the powerplay, having made just 11 runs. Gurbaz and Rahane took the innings over the powerplay, scoring runs at a good rate until pacers steamed in. However, soon when spinners were brought into the game, the striking prowess got lowered and eventually led to the dismissal of set Gurbaz.
Rahane and Raghuvanshi all added vital runs to the KKR middle phase; however, runs never seemed to have come very easily on their own home track. It was Andre Russell, sent early at no. 5 before Venky or Rinku, who smashed the ball and looked his old self, scoring 57* off just 25 balls and finishing the game alongside Rinku Singh (19* off just 5 balls). Rahane and co., for the second time this season, crossed the 200 mark batting first.

Jaiswal and Parag put on a partnership, and the main flow of runs came between Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag for the 6th wicket, as the RR duo scored the highest runs for the 6th wicket, surpassing Steve Smith and James Faulkner’s 85 for the Royals. Parag smashed 6 sixes in a row and went on to score 95 runs off just 45 balls, and it was Harshit Rana with a double strike in the death overs that brought back KKR into the game, dismissing the RR skipper Parag and set batter Hetmyer.
RR needed 22 runs in the last over, and Archer and Shubham Dubey scored 20 runs off Vaibhav Arora, and KKR could finally have the last laugh with a 1-run win in the game
