IPL 2025 Final Highlights: RCB wins maiden title after a highly awaited 18 years in the most prestigious tournament in the world, the Indian Premier League. Emotions run high for the RCB fans, veteran Virat Kohli, and everyone in that red dugout.
Royal Challengers skipper Rajat Patidar was not favoured by the toss coin as it fell in favour of Shreyas Iyer, the captain who has been lauded so much since Day 1 in this edition of the IPL. Unlike most of the decisions made earlier, Iyer decided to stick with the venue. They chased a mammoth 200+ total against one of the finest bowling attacks of the IPL, the Mumbai Indians, a day ago in the Qualifier 2.
However, things do not always go as planned, as it didn’t for the Punjab Kings skipper, Shreyas Iyer. The Narendra Modi track was not the same that Punjab Kings played on against the Mumbai Indians, and the boosted RCB side after their great win last time was an even better bowling side than the MI bowlers a day ago.

IPL 2025 Final Highlights: Krunal Pandya and Bhuvi does it for RCB in the big stage

Punjab Kings had to chase a smaller total than they did on this very venue just a day ago against the Mumbai Indians, but this time around, it was the finals, and the pressure felt very different. The Punjab Kings openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh looked good in the initial overs but failed to carry the partnership forward as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
But despite the fall of wickets and even the skipper, Shreyas Iyer, Punjab’s best batter, was dismissed just for 1 run, they still looked well into the game and never saw it slipping away from their reach. Josh Inglis’s and later Shashank Singh’s presence on the crease kept the hopes alive for the Punjab Kings; however, Marcus Stoinis’s big breakthrough and two silent overs from Bhuvi and Yash Dayal earned the maiden title for RCB, before Shashank Singh took Hazlewood for 22 runs in the final over, with 29 runs needed for a win.
PBKS lost the game by 6 runs, as it brought joy and tears to the eyes of ‘KING’ Kohli; even AB de Villiers present on the field, ran high on emotions with RCB’s heroic win at the Narendra Modi Stadium.,
