DC vs RCB Match Highlights: Tristan Stubbs at the end gives something to Delhi bowlers to fight for, but can DC bowlers work wonders with just 163 on the board?

The Delhi Capitals marked the return of their most experienced campaigner, Faf du Plessis; however, the former RCB skipper did not seem to be in his most fluent form, as he batted long but failed to score quick runs in the powerplay, a common reputation for the Protea batter. Abhishek Porel gave a good start and gave momentum to the Capitals’ innings but once again got off on the wrong foot and was dismissed for just 28 runs off 11 balls within the powerplay. Karun Nair also fell early within the powerplay.
KL Rahul batted very deep into the Capitals’ innings as he saw wickets keep falling from the other end. However, when it was finally time for the set batter to unleash his long-levers, he got out for 41 runs, almost at a run a ball. Tristan Stubbs was the only batter who showed some fireworks towards the back end as DC could reach a 160+ mark and hand something to defend to their bowlers.
DC vs RCB Match Highlights: Krunal Pandya bats diligently to take RCB over the line; Even Chasemaster Kohli watches in awe

RCB explosive opener Phil Salt missed out on this match and was replaced by his fellow Englishman Jacob Bethell as the new opener alongside Kohli. Both Bethell and Padikkal, the two left-handers, were dismissed by the skipper himself, who came to deliver with the new ball and bowled 3 of his overs in the powerplay. The RCB captain, Patidar, fell due to an incredible field presence shown by Karun Nair, who made a remarkable direct hit to dismiss the batter.
But for the Capitals, this did not relieve any pressure, as Virat Kohli built onto a partnership alongside Krunal Pandya. The duo did not score runs at a very quick rate but gave RCB the subtle partnership needed to survive at that time. With a stunning bunch of power hitters in Jitesh Sharma, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd, RCB batters could show the audacity to take the chase as deep as they could.
However, once the two had set their eyes on the ball, Krunal and Kohli now took the role of finishing the game early. Krunal smashed some amazing sixes all around the park, as this was the first time he showcased his batting side, having mostly impressed as a bowler for most of the season. He was also dropped by Porel of Starc in the 16th over of the game, a phase that could change the course of the game.
Kohli finished his 6th fifty-plus score of the season with a 45-ball 50, seemingly what was needed in that phase of the game, while Krunal kept punishing the bowlers from the other end.
